JOB DURATION: 12 - 36 months +
HOURLY RATE: $65 - $75/hr
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Our client is looking for a mid level Web Developer to join our team to assist with updates to our internal web site. The ideal candidate would be able to manage HTML content updates and make minor enhancements to existing sites.
Responsibilities:
- Update the site content for the Laboratory Intranet web site
- Work with business users to edit content and consult with users on proposed site content
- Create web pages for Laboratory events and seminars
- Manage the content workflow for site updates
- Catalog current web site inventory
Qualifications:
- Exhibits proficiency in HTML, JavaScript and CSS
- Knowledge of cross-browser, cross-platform implementation solutions
- Working knowledge of Perl and/or TCL
- Some user experience design skills, including information architecture, visual design and interface design
- Ability to understand and interpret existing site design and style guides to inform your work
- Excellent analytical skills, understanding of project life cycles, and ability to act in an entrepreneurial manner to ensure the software delivered matches the business communities
- Ability to design and develop software in a group or independently
- Should be comfortable with direct communication with all levels of technical and business resources
- Ability to handle several projects simultaneously
- Experience working with technical, design, and product teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
