Our client, a leading hospital in MN, is seeking an experienced Epic EHR Data Conversions Project Manager to help them for the next seven months.

Description:
An experienced Project Manager is needed to plan and lead the data conversions analysis, validation and execution, which will provide historical data necessary to support clinicians in delivering high quality patient care and meet the requirements of a legal medical record. This effort will be done as part of a phased implementation of a large, integrated Electronic Health Record (EHR) system for multiple sites
This position reports to the Client’s Interfaces Project Manager. The Data Conversions Project Manager works closely with the other EHR project managers, project work groups and with Client’s IT departments, with a specific emphasis on working with a team of interface analysts and ancillary system teams (laboratory, radiology, etc.).
The Data Conversions Project Manager is expected to apply appropriate project best practices to ensure on-time, on-budget implementations. Ideally, this project manager would have experience with complex clinical data conversions and with Epic system implementations.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Create / update a detailed project plan to manage the data conversion effort
· Coordinate the efforts of Epic application team members, ancillary subject matter experts, interface analysts and an external “data transformation” consultant
· Plan, organize and conduct validation sessions with team members and end users
· Engage necessary resources from across the organization as needed, including building a detailed staffing model
· Communicate plans within the program and coordinate Client’ communications with the EHR Site Readiness PM.
· Prepare weekly status reports utilizing PMO template that accurately communicates the current status of the project as well as highlights significant issues and risks jeopardizing the project.
· Document, track and manage issues that are reported or discovered for each data conversion sub-project or the data conversions project as a whole. Serve as an escalation point for team members and escalate to the Interfaces PM if unable to resolve.
· Assign work to team members as required
· Update documentation as specified by PMO standards and the Interfaces PM
· Document, track and manage risks that are reported and discovered for each data conversion sub-project or the data conversions project as a whole. Serve as an escalation point for team members and escalate to the interfaces PM if unable to resolve.
· Coordinate validation of data conversions by acquiring operations resources, coordinating setup of physical space for validation as needed (workstations, application access, etc.)
· Acquire resources from within IT and operations (customers) as required, working with the interfaces PM to follow the standard processes.
· Coordinate and lead meetings as required – including preparing agendas and minutes.
· Provide metrics for the data conversion project on a weekly basis to the interfaces PM.
· Manage project schedule utilizing Microsoft project
· Work collaboratively with data transformation vendor
· Set clear expectations with team members and resolve or escalate personnel issues to the interfaces PM or resource manager as required.
Skills:
· Proven project management professional, with 5-8 years project management experience and 10+ years work experience.
· PMP preferred.
· Experience working in Epic integrated implementation projects
· Experience managing complex clinical data conversions
· Experience coordinating work and schedules with other projects within a program and with clients teams (Operations and IT) outside the program.
· Excellent communication skills
· Understanding of design and support of EHR interfaces
