Key Responsibilities: Serve as a lead technical programmer responsible for application system analysis, design, development, implementation and maintenance of programs and applications for data extraction, transformation and loading from source systems into a star schema data warehouse and other systems. This individual will work in a team environment to design and develop Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes using Informatica and other tools. Will guide and train junior team members and provide ongoing support to production systems. Interview users and/or business analysts in order to determine business requirements; develop functional specifications, prepare cost and time estimates with the support of senior team members. Requirements: 4-6 years experience in the design, development and implementation of complex ETL systems and processes in various environments includingData Warehousing using Informatica Powermart/PowerCenter. 4-6 years Oracle SQL, SQL*Plus and PL/SQL experience. 2-3 years Unix and Unix Shell scripting experience. Perform on call support as part of a rotating schedule. Develop, maintain and publish ETL Meta Data. Ability to code, test and optimize SQL and PL/SQL code including hints for query plan adjustment. Experience optimizing ETL processes including Informatica batches, sessions and mappings. Preferred: 1-2 years experience in subject area analysis and dimensional modeling. 1-2 years experience with database modeling tools such as ER Studio, ERWin, etc. Understanding of Star Schema Data Warehouse development lifecycle methodologies. Monitor, manage and coordinate administration of Informatica software. Experience with the programming requirements for loading dimension and fact tables in a data warehouse environment. Provide assistance in the design of Business Intelligence (BI) applications. Experience in Property and Casualty Insurance industry Experience with Tivoli Unix scheduler Experience with XML processing (construction and transformation). Experience with DB2. Experience with legacy mainframe data sources.
