HR Program Manager

Description:

An experienced Program Manager is needed to plan, lead and manage teams of client staff and vendor consultants, resulting in the implementation of an enterprise-wide Human Resources system to replace multiple legacy applications with a Lawson Software solution providing core HR functions, payroll, time-off plans, retirement eligibility, and manager and employee self-service. The scope also includes data conversion and decommissioning of the legacy systems.  

This position reports to our client's Chief Human Resource Officer.  The program manager will work closely with the client's Project Management Office and the Director of HR technology.

 

Scope:

The HR Program Manager is responsible for all aspects of the delivery of a complex, large project within a program and is expected to apply appropriate project best practices to ensure on-time, on-budget implementations. This position also is expected to be able to travel to Client's facilities within the metropolitan area during planning and implementation. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

 

·         Develop and manage to a detailed level project plan with integral milestones

·         Plan staffing and request qualified resources as appropriate

·         Maintain issues log and work through Program escalation process

·         Identify risks and recommend risk mitigation processes

·         Identify and escalate scope issues within Program process

·         Collaborate with peers and other stakeholders

·         Communicate effectively at all levels of the program

·         Perform gap analysis of the current and future state

·         Identify all the tasks that are required to move from current state to future state

·         Provide vendor program management

·         Provide program leadership and expertise in the HR transformation process


Skills:

  • Proven project management professional, with 5-8 years project management experience and 10+ years work experience. Or 8 years experience as a System Integrator for Lawson Implementations
  • PMP certification preferred.
  • Health Care experience preferred.
  • Experience with Union labor requirements preferred.
  • Experience leading at least 2 large Lawson HR implementations.
  • Experience coordinating work and schedules with other projects within a program and with client teams (Operations and IT) outside the program.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Demonstrated decision-making and delegation abilities.
  • Effectively establishes and maintains working relationships at all levels.
  • Flexibility and diplomacy
